ABOUT OUR PRACTICE...
Dr. Gayle Schwartz is a physiatrist, or rehabilitation physician, a physician trained in the specialty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R), a medical specialty formally established in 1947. She has spent over 35 years in private practice in the Baltimore and surrounding areas and is passionate about patient care. During this time she has been voted one of Baltimore’s top doctors in her field in Baltimore Magazine’s annual issue numerous times since 2000.
Dr. Schwartz graduated from Tufts University in Boston Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. She attended Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago and residency training in PM&R at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. She is board certified in both Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Electrodiagnostic Medicine.

Our Office Manager, Betsy Nelson, handpicked our staff members based on their knowledge but also based on their compassionate and caring personalities. The members of our experienced, considerate staff have all worked in the health care industry for over 15 years each and it shows.
